West Ham hit with Lucas Paqueta injury blow during training

Lucas Paqueta has suffered a fresh ankle injury during West Ham training.

It remains unclear how severe the injury is, but Standard Sport understands Paqueta appeared devastated as he withdrew early from a session at the club’s Rush Green training ground on Tuesday.

Paqueta had been starting to look back to his best during the early weeks of Graham Potter’s tenure, and another spell on the sidelines would come as a major blow to the new manager.

The Brazilian has played a key role for West Ham this season, and at the weekend returned from a minor knock to play the full 90 minutes in Saturday’s 1-0 defeat at home to London rivals Brentford.
