NIT Warangal Student Dies by Suicide

Warangal: A second-year B.Tech. student, identified as Hrithik Sai from Hyderabad, died by suicide at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) on Thursday. The student, who had been staying at the university hostel, was reportedly upset over receiving low marks. He went missing from the hostel on Wednesday and informed his parents of his disappearance.

On Thursday, police recovered a body from Waddepalli Lake on the outskirts of Kazipet and shifted it to the state-run MGM Hospital in Warangal. The body was identified as Hrithik Sai by his friends after the police circulated pictures of the deceased on social media. The police have registered a case, and the investigation is underway.
