The director Kevin Macdonald has chronicled the lives of some of music’s greats – including Bob Marley and Whitney Houston. We spoke to him about his next project, out on IMAX this week, about John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

It captures the brief time after the Beatles broke up, when the couple had just moved to New York to live among the residents of Greenwich village, and features the couple’s own recordings… some of which contain strong language.
